lyrics

Lyrics:

Right at the intersection
Where sweet hope meets primal fear
Lives a lady called Deception
Who feeds on our human needs

She's seen often in the presence
Of those who seek yet more power
They try hard to extract the essence
Of this rare powerful flower

All we know is what they say
I can sense
There’s a way
To break the fence

Among all the lies they tell
It's hard to know what we swallow
Once the first domino fell
The rest of them would soon follow

Few of us could have foreseen
The wild spreading of the fire
We’ve overworked the machine
The consequences are dire

All we know is what they say
I can sense
There’s a way
To break the fence

While masses keep on finding
more broken pieces to collect
a bunch of men are laughing
as they ride the windfall effect

We were all too deeply scared
To sleep our moonless nights
We just wanted to feel safe
So gave up our basic rights

Reason tell us it is not always
In the darkest corners where the danger lies
For the bulbs and the flames that glaze
The brightest are the ones who attract
More flies - More lies

No more beauty in the notion
That everything's intertwined
No more hiding from the motion
Of the grinding wheels behind

We were all too deeply scared
To sleep our moonless nights
We just wanted to feel safe
So gave up our basic rights

We were all too deeply scared
To come out of our tin can
We just wanted to feel safe
So we’ve summoned the Leviathan
